Things were not looking good for VW in 2018.

In response, VW apologized and committed themselves to a fully electric car fleet.
We translated VW’s new commitment to sustainability into the platform Drive something bigger than yourself. This line launched their new way of doing business, and also helped shape the work by always acknowledging that there’s something bigger to talk about than the cars themselves.
It gave the work a consistent and unique POV regardless of what we were messaging. Like the 50-year anniversary of the moon landing for example.
The campaign set up VW's new positioning by focusing on everything outside of the car.
It gave us a natural way to address its past, while still showing off the new electric vehicles and VW's commitment to a sustainable future.
